Exhibition Curation Competition

The California Map Society is a founding friend of the David Rumsey Map Center at Stanford University. As partners, the Society sponsors and facilitates the jurying and awarding of a competition to award a student for proposing an exhibition at the Rumsey Center.   The student will:

• receive $1,000 and have paid or be reimbursed for travel costs to the Rumsey Center
• have an opportunnity to present a northern or southern meeting of the Society
• receive a one year membership in the California Map Society, and
• will receive assistance from Center staff to have the exhibit mounted at the Rumsey Map Center.
