CALIFORNIA MAP SOCIETY/RUMSEY MAP CENTER
STUDENT PAPER AWARD

The California Map Society is a founding friend of the David Rumsey Map Center at Stanford University. As partners, the Society underwrites and facilitates the jurying and awarding of a student paper award.   The student will:

• receive $1,000 and have paid or be reimbursed for travel costs to a northern and southern speaker event;
• present the paper at the northern and southern chapters of the California Map Society;
• receive a one year membership in the California Map Society; and
• have the paper and associated maps published under the sponsorship of the Rumsey Map Center.
