SUMMER MEMBERS MEETING AT UC SAN FRANCISCO

The CMS Summer Meeting in Northern California will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013, in the J.P. Leonard Library of San Francisco State University. The library is in the southwest corner of the campus at 1600 Holloway Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94132 [ph. 415-338-1111]. The meeting will be held in the library and will include a tours of the automated retrieval system and the Sutro Archival Collection. Lunch and snacks will be provided by the campus caterer and a wine and cheese reception will be held at the end of the meeting.

The Leonard Library is three years old and houses the DeBellis Collection and the Sutro Archival Collection. The DeBellis collection is focused on the culture of the Italian peninsula from antiquity to the present. It contains ancient artifacts, incunabula and medieval and Renaissance manuscripts some of which will be on display. The Sutro collection on the 8th floor contains the finest genealogy collection west of Salt Lake City and also has rare books and manuscripts.
